National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wisconsin

This 40 foot tall Muskie is the featured fish sculpture here.

The view of the grounds just through the gift shop/entrance.

Boy, I had no idea there was such a thing.  lol

There are 500 vintage outboards on display.  They also have 6000 reels too but to me they all looked the same so I didn't even take a picture.

What a neat old idea.  I wonder why it never became mainstream for regular boats like it has for pedal powered pontoons?

I'm thinking a 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzle.  You?

Prom date or main-squeeze?  It is said that this geographical area is a Bigfoot habitat.

Here is a view of the grounds from the giant Muskie's mouth as you can climb up into the big fish.  Visit their website for more info...    http://www.freshwater-fishing.org/

Backus, Minnesota and Surrounding Area

This is Colonel Cobber, the giant corn cob is getting a hug from Cathy.  He is associated with a purported visit by Paul Bunyan.

Weekend car show in Pequot Lakes, MN     Who doesn't love these street rods!  Wow.

Fishing museum inside a sporting goods store in Baxter, MN.  Worth a visit if you are passing by.

The football house has a for-sale sign if you ever wanted to own a football hut that is.

Kayaking on Big Portage Lake.  I found out that with each dip of the oars I flipped water into the boat.

View of Sandy Pines Resort, Backus, MN.

I liked this fish sculpture.  It was right around the corner from our site at Sandy Pines.

Who remembers what this is?  Ahhh, the memories of youth.
