Around Fort Worth

Cathy is standing in front of  Woman Addressing the Public: Project for a Monument by Joan Miró,1981, bronze which is outside the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, TX.  We went there and viewed an exhibition of  clay figures from the great Baroque sculptor Bernini.  But no pictures were allowed in the exhibit and since I can't run very well anymore.....
The Fort Worth Police & Fire Fighter Memorial was set in a large, serene park.  Memorials go back to the turn of the century.

A single horse, without a rider, and with boots reversed in the stirrups symbolizes a fallen leader.

  1. That statue mom is standing by looks like she has a giant you-know-what all up in the publics face. ;) And from what I understand, Texas has always been very honorable to their service people, military/fire fighter/police etc.
